Day 5 Wrap Up!

Day 5 of the Founders Cup features 3 games to close out the round-robin portion of the tournament.

Winnipeg Blizzard [MB] (2-2) opened the day defeating the Saint John Rapids [NB] (1-3) by a score of 9-7. The Blizzard overcame a 2-goal deficit after 20 minutes and had a huge second period outscoring the Rapids 7-2. Will Angus (4G, 2A) led the way for Winnipeg, who will finish the round-robin in third place, Pool A. 

Queen City Kings [SK] (1-3) hooked up with host Hamilton Mac-Klean Bengals (4-0) and dropped an 11-3 decision. The Bengals' Ted Rawson (2G, 3A) led all scorers.

Elora Mohawks [ON] (3-0) remained perfect with a 14-3 win over the Nova Scotia Privateers (0-3). Nate Renaud (3G, 2A) and Evan McDougall (2G, 3A) paved the way for the Mohawks.
